Local Elected Leadership Institute (LELI)
LELI provides a supportive peer cohort space for progressive BIPOC leaders serving in local elected office at the city and county level in Washington State. The institute includes leadership development trainings and resources.
The pilot LELI cohort launched in Spring 2021.
Candidate Peer Support Cohorts
In local election years (odd years), we invite a small group of BIPOC candidates to participate in a confidential peer support and strategizing cohort. We supplement peer support meetings with individual coaching sessions. The pilot candidate cohort launched in 2019, and revived this cohort model in summer 2021.
BIPOC Candidate Training
We convene BIPOC candidate peer support cohorts and training resources for progressive civic leaders interested in running for office.
Between trainings, we also do individual coaching sessions with potential candidates.
Political Leadership Council (PLC)
The PLC is a grassroots team of CLI alumni who vet, endorse and support BIPOC candidates running for city and county office in Washington State.
Participants receive direct exposure to campaigns, and build relationships with elected leaders, building future pathways for civic leadership and elected office. Learn more.
